AMARONE DELLA VALPOLICELLA

From Valpolicella area of Verona, this top red wine is obtained from Corvina Veronese and Corvinone Veronese, Rondinella. REFINEMENT: 60% of the wine obtained is aged for 24 months in Slavonian oak barrels; 40% in Allier oak barriques for 18 months. Further evolution in the bottle for 6 months. Recommended pairings: excellent with roasts, game and mature cheese.
